Among the must-sees, its famous Place Stanislas classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the historic district located in the city center dotted with picturesque cobbled streets, superb historic buildings and majestic churches, including the Notre-Dame-de-l’Annonciation Cathedral and the Saint-Epvre Basilica. Many museums also await you: the Fine Arts Museum, the Earthenware Museum, the Ecole de Nancy Museum and the Lorraine Museum. Art Nouveau is also revealed in the street with the creations of the artists of the Ecole de Nancy. The Villa Majorelle, the first achievement of this artistic movement, is a fine example. A visit to the Musée du Papier is a must, in a former Renaissance hotel, a unique collection in France of lacquered objects. Finally, Pont-à-Mousson is a favorite place for cyclists along the developed quays of the Moselle, but also a stop on the Voie bleue, a cycle route linking Luxembourg to Lyon. About twenty kilometers away, the pretty fortified medieval town of Liverdun. Pass the majestic Porte Haute between its two towers while enjoying the panorama of the Moselle Valley and admire the 16th century Governor's House. Nearby, the superb gate that housed a former episcopal hotel. Other curiosities await you: the stairs of the Côte au Laye, the canonical houses... and before leaving, don't forget to stop in the "Madeleines de Liverdun" shop, guaranteed production for a hundred years of this famous madeleine.
